Incredible Bird watching, some very rare sights of the river birds, which also is a favored drinking spot. The accommodation consists of four, two-bed reed under thatch units,
Each with a shower and toilet en-suite and these are linked to the lounge and dining area by wooden boardwalks. Visitor’s needs are attended to by a cook and field ranger.
The caretaker cook will assist with the preparation of meals and the daily servicing of the accommodation.
You will need to bring, all your food, drink and personal requirements.
There are open fire areas and braai facility, Dine under the stars around the fire!

The water at Gqoyeni Bush Lodge is temporarily not fit for drinking.
Please bring your own drinking water.
Gqoyeni Bush Lodge caters for only one group at a time, up to a maximum of eight persons, so for the period of your stay, it becomes your exclusive home in the African bush.

Walking Safaris
The field ranger is available to take visitors on safari walks, in the early mornings and late afternoons. The services of both the field ranger and caretaker/Cook are included in the tariff.

Prcautions
Please note that, the bush lodge does not have a perimeter fence and animals may be encountered at any time, be aware of this, especially when moving about after dark.
Power is from generator for the fans and lighting But the fridges and stove use gas. The generator is turned off at approx 22h00. We suggest that you bring a torch for each room.
